We’re Paul & Katie McPherson—best friends, husband and wife of 16+ years, and the founders of Shutterfreek®. Since launching our brand in 2009, we've built a life around storytelling, adventure, and creativity. Together, we’ve raised three amazing kids (Nora, Kayl, Asa) and share our home with a golden doodle (Millie), a bearded dragon (Rex), and a hedgehog (Dart).
As our family has grown, we’ve been intentional about reclaiming more of our summers, now taking on a select 20-ish weddings and elopements per year while expanding our focus to lifestyle and commercial brand storytelling. But no matter what, capturing love, connection, and adventure will always be at the heart of what we do. As long as we have a camera in hand and a story to tell, we’re exactly where we’re meant to be. ⛺️
We’re passionate travelers and ready to shoot anywhere for adventure, but our base is right in the heart of the Southwest. From our backyard we have access to the most breathtaking locations within a 300-mile radius.
